Welcome to Fitrah! In context within Islam and Humanistic theory, the term "fitrah" means good human nature with which every human is created. Further, it is understood as the intrinsic nature that inclines humans towards moral goodness and a search for the truth and well-being. As a new psychologist, I strive to practice with empathy and kindness for each client on their journey and use specialized techniques that would fit with your personality and goals.
Although a new graduate, I have nearly a decade of experience working with children and teenagers as a peer/academic/career advisor. This includes being someone to talk to, giving advice, and supporting individuals on their academic/career journies. Outside of this, I have a year of therapy experience and practice under a licensed psychologist.

Although I take all clients, some focus I have are:
-children, teens, women
-survivors of domestic/family violence and sexual assault
-People of colour
-CBT and humanistic therapies
-anxiety, depression
-Islamic psychotherapy
-psychological testing
